A "Yield Company" (YieldCo) is an entity formed to fund, own, and operate assets, such as Solar or Wind Power, and to raise funds by issuing shares to investors. Cash flows from these operating assets are then used to distribute dividends (cash payments) to shareholders over time.

The YouTility YieldCo is designed to fund the early-stage development, construction, and short-term ownership and operations of income-generating renewable energy assets. With the requisite access to predictable, reliable and efficient capital from the team of strategic investment partners at Tribeca Energy, also well positioned to share in the front-end development profits, advisory profits and lucrative tax incentives, YouTility plans to expand upon a proven strategy whereby qualifying Commercial and Industrial properties and/or rooftops are identified, targeted and secured with long-term (20-25 yr.) Leases, and/or PPA's so that YouTility systems can be developed and interconnected.
Once they pass through development and construction, YouTility’s operating assets promise a stable, renewable, and more importantly, a decentralized energy solution. Cash flows from these assets are carefully channeled as distributive dividends to shareholders, ensuring an attractive and sustained yield over time. The resulting ‘Income Properties’ are wholly owned by one or more Single Purpose Entities that are setup as Limited Liability Corporations (“SPE LLC”) as investment companies that share common ownership with YouTility and its shareholders.
