QUANTUM YOUTILITY from an insider’s perspective, is a technology enabled Distributed Generation Utility Company (“DGU”), organized as a fintech, ‘YieldCo.’ platform empowered to provide funding for the development, construction, long-term, shared ownership, and operation of ‘Money Machines’ in the form of Renewable Energy, Microgrid, Ancillary Energy Storage, and Long Duration Energy Storage Projects (the “Projects”).

Distribution scale (< 5MWac) 'Behind-the-Meter' Solar systems and microgrids represent the biggest 'Blue-Ocean' opportunity in the history of the energy industry. The size of the Commercial and Industrial Solar rooftop market in the USA is estimated to consist of more than 6 million potential properties, comprising over 90 Billion square feet of workspace. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has estimated that perhaps only 30% of such buildings can be retrofit with Solar PV systems, primarily due to roof load bearing concerns (until a better way can be established…).

This is consistent with the experience of YouTility Platform member AED, which has currently investigated well over 500 such properties which is now set to greatly benefit from the right kind of 'Early-Stage Development' and 'Consturction' funding from YouTility, empowering more origination and pre-development volume and velocity.

At typical installation costs, between now and a time in the hopefully not too distant future, when better, more lightweight, or roofing material integrated Solar collectors are ready for full-scale commercialization, the Total Available Market ("TAM") for C&I Rooftop Solar that can support today's 'Heavy & Clumsy' modules of approximately $571,500,000,000 ("$571.5B") in the U.S. 'Distributed Generation' Solar market, with each Solar installation acting as a door opener for a more expansive, holistic Mini-Microgrid.  

The biggest breakthrough with our YieldCo platform is that we can build and develop holistic projects “less expensive than the existing grid.” It’s less expensive for us and our clients as we develop projects that produce cleaner, greener, and more resilient energy directly at the site of consumption, rather than purchasing it from the legacy utility monopolies. Just like Light-Bulbs, Automobiles, CPU's, Cell Phones, and Netflix, our holistic on-site clean and “Green” Distributed Generation YouTility solutions are better than their forerunners in every way that counts, making mass adoption, a foregone conclusion in our humble opinion.
